The Anti-Christian Bias Bullshit
Christians are great at playing like they are some kind of oppressed minority about to be fed to the lions for their faith. I internalized that fantasy when I was part of the church too.
According to the Bible true believers would be persecuted and blessed for that persecution.
American evangelicals learn all sorts of mental gymnastics in order to feel persecuted.
They cry persecution when other people don’t live their lives by Christian guidelines. They cry persecution when they are denied the right to enforce in a country full of people with diverse belief systems. They cry persecution when LGBT college kids want to join Christian clubs, cry persecution when employers require employees to use their colleague’s chosen pronouns, cry persecution when a perpetrator of violence is made topay for their crimes, if that violence was committed in the name of God.
Don’t get me started on the long history of Christian willingness to do violence for Jesus.
Executive Order 14202—Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias signed by Resident Chump on February 6, 2025 aims to end what the administration describes as the “anti-Christian weaponization of government”. A task force was created to identify and eliminate it.
The task force highlighted the frequent use of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act of 1994 to prosecute anti-abortion demonstrators. The Biden administration had tossed a couple dozen of them in prison for forcibly blocking workers and patients from accessing a reproductive health clinic while streaming it live online. Conservatives circulated false information, claiming the individuals guilty of the violence were simply praying. The Chump administration pardoned them.
Federal employees can harass non-Christians at work now too. The may seek to “persuade others of the correctness of their own religious views” in the office.
Can you imagine the reaction if minority religions tried to exercise this right? This is about FORCING CHRISTIANITY ON AMERICANS.
During a break, an employee may engage another in polite discussion of why his faith is correct and why the non-adherent should re-think his religious beliefs, the bill reads.
Oh please do. Come at me with that Bible and I’ll deconstruct that bullshit before your coffee’s ready.
Employees should never have to choose between their faith and their career, the memo says. No one is asking anyone to do that.
This entitlement is unconstitutional. It’s going to promote exclusion of minority groups. Harassment of Americans who identify as LGBT, atheist, Muslim, Hindu, ect.
If your supervisor decides to sit down and make it very clear that it’s important to her or him, that you accept this weaponized version of the gospel of Jesus Christ, what do you think your chances are for advancement?
These Christians have their underwear all up in a bunch because they feel so f****** entitled to misgendering people, marginalizing people, and attempting to control people. They have decided that it is bias against them to refuse to extend them these entitlements.
Meanwhile they take from the poor and give to the rich and claim Jesus like they’re righteous. But their version of Christianity sucks. If you only care about embryos and hating on gay people you missed the point.
If we were really a Christian nation we would welcome immigrants and feed the poor. We would accept LGBT people and leave judgment to God.
But just like this isn’t about freedom of religion it isn’t about Jesus.
Professor of law and religion Robert Tuttle, at George Washington University, says what’s really being described in this executive order is a specific conservative version of Christianity.
News flash, MAGAts! You don’t have a monopoly on Christianity. Christ would overturn the desks in the college classrooms where LGBT kids aren’t permitted to gather in his name.
This executive order is worse than religious favoritism. It favors a certain brand of the religion that caters to a certain political ideology. It’s obvious and really quite disgusting.
Anti-Christian bias is a myth. Christians are the country’s largest faith group and enjoy significant social privilege.
Claims of anti-Christian bias are often used as a political “dog whistle” by politicians to signal allegiance to white voters, or as a tactic to galvanize a political base. It is claimed when Christian nationalists face pushback for attempting to impose their religious views on others or when laws preventing discrimination against marginalized groups are enforced.
Claims of persecution in the US are offensive when compared to the actual, often violent, persecution of Christians in other parts of the world. They are just complete and utter bullshit.
